Shouldn't You Learn From Past Mistakes..........?

We all make them both in our business lives and our private lives! Because we are human.

The real trick is to try not too emulate them time after time. But some people just never learn, take the politicians for example, those who have ruled from Westminster for over two decades.

They believe adamantly that they know what is best for the rest of us, of course we all know they don't and are following their own agenda and doing what will provide themselves with financial gain and in many instances protecting their future careers. And if you try to disagree your branded for example "peasants" thank you Mr Boris Johnson the Lord Mayor Of London, who recently in an article published in The Daily Mail, came to the conclusion that 28% of the British population just do not know what is best for them after the local and European elections, or your a racist or any number of derogatory words taken from the Oxford English dictionary.

They seem to forget that it is the voters who placed them in a position of authority to serve the British public, and not to lecture or demine them if they are unsatisfied with what is happening around them and the things affecting their lives.

As in business or private those around us may assist in supporting someone through difficult times or providing assistance with a business venture, and then moving the business forward. In many cases this is done not due to a want for gain but out of respect, admiration or generosity.

And then we have those lesser mortals who blindly follow a path of  total disregard and leave a trail of destruction behind them whilst trying to climb the greasy ladder of both personal and financial gain, very much like the political class of present.

They say you reap what you sow, this is true in both politics and business as it is in our personal lives
and stems from what can only be described as flows in character: greed, self-righteousness, intolerance, and above all else, a lack of moral understanding and the respect for the views of others.

And this is the lesson the above, all seem to dismiss ......! With regard to politicians voters display their dissatisfaction by voting for the opposition as recently, with regard to the UK elections.

And so to business and private lives, what happens there.

This is the story of what can happen when those character flows are so deep they blind a person to everything around them and the trail of destruction which follows.

The Rise And Fall Of Personal Morality

For this story to have a meaning we have to take you back in time and to a small town, nestled in the boarders, middle class, a father, mother and there two daughters. A strict upbringing in a Presbyterian region were respect, duty and morality play a large part in everyday life. Two daughters both very different one envied by the other for her looks, and friends a bitter jealousy of all those around her and a desire for everything at her finger tips, spoilt to the extreme by parents who gave way to her every whim.

One daughter branches out disinterested, or shall we say less interested in the material things around her, much more interested in the boy and girl friends.

Whilst the second, the ugly duckling has her desires pampered, horse's the best cloths, here we find the first signs of the future that will lead this daughter to destroy and humiliate those around her and ultimately lead to her lack of emotional respect as a person towards others and her manipulation of those around her and total disregard for anyone other than herself, a trait shared with the political elite.

At school she is belligerent and totally void of any interest or effort, her mind focused on a life she believes is her destiny without the effort and understanding required to reach the goal. She turns to what she has learnt deceit and the emotional manipulation of those around her.

In her mid teens she is crowned Queen of the local summer gala, and wins a rosette for her riding, she even has an oil painting produced of her sat on her pony in full riding attire, to celebrate her misguided belief in her rise to godly heights.

However as with many who place themselves on a pedestal those around them tend to rock the structure and the dizzy heights become a fall from grace, which often is carried forward through life and the future with reoccurring frequency.

Such is the tale with or ugly duckling, shop assistant, check out girl and by the age of twenty-one married and divorced within the blink of an eye. Three months of marriage and our carnival queen couldn't have the life style she wanted and the young man a soldier was quickly and effortlessly dispatched to history.

The second attempt, was to some degree more fruitful, a home, designer furniture, cloths and the outward trappings of wealth two children, but once again the pedestal came tumbling down and when the husband found himself in financial difficulties or ugly duckling did what she did best walked away and left those around her to collect up the dirty washing. As with all who diverse themselves of responsibility for their actions she moved away to pastures new and out of the gaze of those who knew only too well were responsibility lay.

Time passes, men and places, more reasons to disappear from view.

The next victim came in the form of a much older man some thirty years her senior and of course with a much fatter wallet and bank balance. The vanity of the older male never fails to stun someone like myself and times seem not to have changed. Her desire for more and more, lead yet again to financial ruin for yet another unsuspecting devoted male, she continues to refuse any notion that she holds any responsibility.

He helps her setup a business which fails, builds her a study and office worth thousands in his garden, pays her tuition fees at college.

She moves on this time no deceit or manipulation is to extreme she becomes pregnant and distance is the object from her past along with her new bow.

The land of colonial labour and prison ships, she attempts to remove her existing children from there father but they refuse and remain firmly entrenched in old blighty. The new couple marry and then emigrate. But life isn't quite what she wanted no designer furniture, cloths and those around her are not to interested in pedestals or ugly ducklings or there tantrums.

The husband brings his daughter to live with them, a source of contention as our ugly duckling is no longer the centre of attention and the daughter is not so easily blinded to her new stepmothers nature.

Then the birth of a son, but at this stage disaster strikes, or karma depending on your outlook the ugly duckling suffers a massive stroke whilst in child birth and is placed on a life support machine resuscitation is carried out three times massive internal haemorrhaging, and weeks in a coma with a range of side effects resulting.

Members of the family fly out to provide assistance with the child and bedside vigil along with the husband. Then months of rehabilitation and care by medical staff and the devoted husband.

Now you would imagine or ugly duckling would repay this with love and humility towards those who cared, cried and must have gone through turmoil during that fateful period, but NO!

Of course all this has left the family with massive financial problems and debts.

Once again she does what she has always done, deceit she waits till her husband is away working and boards a plane along with the baby and what ever she can carry and returns to the pastures she left behind, knocking on doors expecting to be welcomed with open arms and lavished with whatever she desires.

Of course stripping the bank accounts before she leaves and once arriving in the UK immediately claims benefits with out declaring assets stacked away in a private bank account in that far off land to which she as access via the internet and bankers card.

As the doors close she is forced to move on and on, rejected after short periods at each stop over, by family, friends, males, and finally she arrives at her sisters. The sister and her family agree that she can board until she gets herself on her feet. But the old rivalries soon surface, arguments ensue our ugly duckling try's to set the rules dictating how the family should act and what they can do, be it within their own home.

Tensions mount, bitter arguments, altercations follow.

Our ugly duckling has to find a way out before she is once again abandon with her son on the streets by the final family member. She turns to the internet and dating sites to ensnare her next victim and soon has her talons sharpened and hooked into an unsuspecting male. Sex is a very potent weapon when in the hands of a calculating and experienced individual like our ugly duckling, and of course a story of how she has been the victim suffering indescribable disloyalty and how her dreams have constantly been dashed whilst she battled on to support those around her. The stories of ill treatment by her family and male partners all used to the maximum effect to gain sympathy she is on the rise again...........

Part Two To Follow.
